Community meeting on Croydon Library consultation and plans – 10 April, 7pm via Zoom

The promised additional meetings on libraries run by the council have not materialised so CCC is holding a meeting on libraries – a meeting by the community, for the community.

If the drop-in session today at Bradmore Green is anything to go by, the council is increasingly more uncomfortable about engaging. People were expected to stand around for the hour and a half, waiting their turn to speak to just two members of council staff.

Croydon residents and library users turned up in number to tell them how poorly thought out the plans are, to point out all the flaws and the misinformation.
